I’ve put my life in your hands. You won’t drop me, you’ll never let me down”. Psalm 31:5 (MSG) Have you ever dropped something and watched in disbelief as it broke into pieces. The more precious it was to you, the more pain you felt. If it belonged to someone else, perhaps you felt the anguish even more.
The truth is you too belong to Someone, dear heart. You belong to God, Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, and Friend. Maybe you have placed your life into someone else’s hands, thought you could trust them, rely on their care, and they let you down, or put you down, and you too were broken in the process. Dear one, that is not God’s heart for you, and all the times that happened, He felt the pain with you. You are His very own treasure, precious and priceless, in His sight. In all of those tender broken places, the long ago ones, and the just happened today ones, put your life into His capable care and let Him make things right—let Him make them new. His strong hands are unwavering, unmovable, unshakeable, and they are waiting just for you. He will never hurt you, leave you, or forsake you—not ever, not once. He will keep you safe always; never letting you down; never letting you go. Pick up your life, beloved one, and place it fully in the safest place it could be—hidden and tucked up in Christ—then trust God, and His heart towards you, wait, watch, and see. Prayer: Jesus, I thank You that You have made a way for me to have my life safely tucked up in You. I know that in Your presence is fullness of joy; the revelation of the Father’s great love; and the promise of a richness of life now, and life forever more! Come into my life afresh today, precious Lord, I pray, in every area of need. In all the ways and places I have been let down before, I bring them to You today, knowing that as You pick me up, and I will be healed. I welcome the good things that You have purposed for me, as I look to, and trust in, You. My life is in Your hands, Lord. There is no greater or more glorious place that it could be!
