The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest”. Exodus 14:14
In those days where it feels like everything is a battle, situations get complicated and circumstances seem set against us, isn’t it wonderful to know that we have Someone Who is 100% for us in the midst of it all?
God knows your heart, who you really are, what you so long for, hope and believe for, and He says, “Trust Me. I’ve got this. And I’ve got you.”
When you don’t know what to say, or how to say it—when you aren’t sure exactly what to do, or just when, or how to do it—He does. You can simply hold your peace as the battle rages and hang on to the One Who is Peace.
Remember, before the foundations of the world, He chose you as His own, and when He did, He fully intended to walk with you, leading and guiding you, empowering and strengthening you, encouraging and equipping you, every step of the way. In all things beloved, He is your Advocate, always on your side. Let Him love you and lead you and yes, let Him fight for you too!
Step back into His arms of love, feel the strength of His embrace, and rest! The God of the Angel Armies knows exactly what to do!
Jesus, I know You are the Prince of Peace, and when You are in the midst of the circumstances and situations, all will be well. I feel at times that I have spent so long fighting for what is right; for what I need; for what I am hoping or trying to do. And yet in my own strength Lord, I know there is nothing I can do.
Won’t You come today, Jesus, in the beauty of Your holiness, into these situations that wear me down and wear me out, and do what only You can do.
Won’t You fight for me, for those I love, for all that is meant to be?
I trust You Lord. I look for and lean into You. I know that is the absolute best thing I can do.
I love You Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I am so grateful that You are there, always, and forever. I am so thankful for the gift of Your presence and Your tender loving care.
