The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] and strong”. Proverbs 18:10 (AMPC)

Storms of life can come unexpectedly—waves stirred from a once-silent sea, tossing you about in their fury. Ongoing trials and challenges can feel relentless and exhausting.

Yet, hidden within the heart of God, you will find shelter until the wind and waves have passed. Nestled close to the One Who calms the seas and bids the tempest to cease, you can rest and dwell in perfect peace.

You have a place of safety—far from the strife and struggles of everyday life. Strong, secure, and set apart—in the shelter of His arms, in the depths of His heart—you are held.

Let Him speak to the storms for you, chosen child. He knows exactly what to say.

Prayer:

Oh Lord, You are truly my strong tower. In all the ways and places I have run to that were not right or good for me, today I turn again—with all my needs, concerns, hopes, and desires—and I run to You.

You rescue me from all my troubles—Your miracle deliverance ready when I need it most. Your wraparound presence strengthens me each and every day. Your Word and Your presence light my way.

Glorious God, my Mountain of Strength, You are worthy of all praise!
