How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love”. Ephesians 1:6 (MSG)
Difficult days can come, dark nights too. Hard hearts turn away, and we are alone. Or so it feels. Listen to the healing words of your God and Father. The One Who sees you always, and loves you even more: “Arise Beloved, oh Beautiful One, to the high place of blessing that is yours”.
Before He laid down the foundations of the earth, He planned for an on-going, ever unfolding, and deepening life of intimacy with you. You are the focus of His love, this love that makes you whole, in a way that no human love can ever do. You are lovely, dear beauty; deeply loved, cherished, and adored. The object of His undivided attention, you can linger in His presence—no need to rush away—the spotlight of His love is upon you all throughout the day.
It’s settled, cherished one, for God Himself has lifted you up and secured you in His love! The place where you began—the high place of blessing where you are meant to be.
Father God, I thank You today that I can live in the light of Your love. I thank You that even if the whole world turns away, or when it really just seems that way, You alone are here to stay.
To be the focus of Your perfect love, when I feel so very far from perfect most days, is hard to understand. Yet You see through the way I see myself, to the grace-filled ways that love see me. Created in love by the One Who is perfect in every way, and then redeemed in love, made whole and holy, through Christ Jesus our Lord. Heaven’s Perfect Sacrifice.
Gracious, loving, giving, generous God, how can I ever thank You for the wonder of Your love—set apart and focused intentionally on me! Jesus, I thank You, that because of Who You are, and all You have done, this could be so!
Let the blessings flow today Lord I pray and let it be all that is in Your extravagant love to do! Though it is to wonderful for me to comprehend, and so often I feel unworthy, only because You said it Lord—I thank You with all of my heart—and I receive!
