“May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it!” ” 1 Thessalonians 5:23,24 (MSG)
So often in our lives when things get broken, we try desperately to put them back together on our own. Not that there isn’t a part for us to play in the healing process, but it is best if we are co-operating more in a helping position—letting God Himself be the One to do the healing and to make the broken places whole!
He is the One with our original design in mind. He holds the blueprints for our lives and the lives of those we love. He knows how all the pieces are meant to fit together—spirit, soul, and body. You can trust Him completely for He does all things well.
If you find yourself in a situation that you cannot manage, that overwhelms or overtakes you—if you have shattered pieces in your own life, or areas you have perhaps broken in others—hand the fragile bits and the fragments, the pain, and the heartache, to your Glorious God, Who is forever faithful and true. Whose heart of love is always for you.
He will put things back together, beloved, better than at the beginning, and you can rest in this truth—what He says, He will do!
Dearest Father, Loving Saviour, and Precious Holy Spirit,
I come to You today, taking You at Your word that You know already of all that is broken, how it got broken in my life, and how to make it right.
Adonai, heal my wounds, my sorrows, and my mistakes, I pray. Let the shadow of your beauty remove my sin, my shame, and my disgrace.
In the light of Your love Lord, I am healed. In the beauty of your holiness, I am made whole. Show me today Father Who I am, as You see me, and not what others have said, or how I have come to see myself.
Open the eyes of my heart to the wonders of Your love. I know in Your kindness, Your truth will prevail.
I am so grateful Lord that it could be so.
