“God’s business is putting things right; he loves getting the lines straight, Setting us up straight.  Once we’re standing tall, we can look him straight in the eye”. Psalm 11:7 (MSG)
Have you ever felt bent over under the weight of pain that someone has caused you? Or weighed down in shame, guilt, or grief over something that you have done wrong? It could be that another broken and hurting heart was to blame for breaking yours, and then you in turn lash out when you wish you hadn’t—seeing the damage now inflicted and messing up the very thing you were trying so hard to make right?

Well, here is some good news if that is you!  God’s business is putting things right.  This means that no matter what we have done, or what has been done to us, this wonder working God of ours loves to make the crooked places straight and the broken places whole—if we let Him.

He doesn’t want us stooped overlooking down, or forlorn and looking back.  He wants us looking right at Him so that we can see the depth of His healing love—a love that says, “I know. I understand how much it hurts but come to Me and I will make it better”.  A love that says, “I’ll help you.  We can fix this. It will be alright. Trust Me that it can be so.”

Oh, divinely loved one, stand up tall.  Don’t worry now, dear heart. You are God’s cherished child, and He will look after it all.  That’s how much He loves you.  That’s how deeply He cares.

Prayer:

Jesus, You know all that is broken in my life and how it got that way.  You know the things that have broken me—spirit, soul, and body.  The choices I have made, in my search for perfection or in my deepest pain.  And You know the choices others made that have wounded and damaged in ways that seem beyond repair and at times, are just to hard to bear.

Where things have gone very wrong—it seems impossible that they could ever be made right. Apart from Your Word Lord, and Your promises, there would be no hope.

If You can Lord, would You come into these circumstances and situations today?  Could you lift the burdens and help me to carry this weight?

I thank You for Your promises that nothing is impossible with You and even though I cannot see it myself, I know that You are forever faithful and true.

Come today Blessed Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and do that only You can do.

I receive the work of Your hands, and all Your angels on assignment too!  I look up Lord and I wait for You.
