For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us that we do ourselves”. 1 John 3:20

What comforting words—a soothing balm for a weary soul and worried heart! Whatever wears you out or weighs you down, even now you can rest assured that God is greater than it all. When it feels like no one understands, be confident that He does. If you feel lost and alone, remember—He has you.

Even when you don’t understand the whys and hows of all that surrounds you—why we feel, act, or react the way we do; why things happen that are too difficult to comprehend; and all the wonderings of how things are ever going to work out—He has already figured it out!

Oh, cherished child, dear to His heart, you can trust Him with yours. There is no safer place to find rest than in the arms of the One who knows you best and cares the most. He has you safely in the palm of His hand and confidently holds all you are worried about, too.

He has overcome it all already, and with His perfect plan in place, you can walk in overcoming confidence that He will see you through—surrounded always by abundant mercy, covered in abiding love and grace!

Prayer:

Poppa God, I thank You that You, Who created me, know exactly who I am now—all that worries and concerns me—and You know exactly who You created me to be: free from fear and worry. I rejoice in this good news, though I am not always sure how it could be so, for my thoughts and my heart can so often take me where You never meant for me to go.

Would You come now, just as You promised, and be greater in my life than all the worry, all the pain, all the pretending, all the unknowns, and all the fear.

My future is in Your hands, Lord. Your plans are perfect, the days are provided for, and Your promises are secure.

Redeem all that was lost, Lord. Restore the broken places, I pray. My heart and my hope are secure now in You.
