Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God”. 2 Corinthians 1:2-4 (NIV)
When life breaks us, in all the ways it can be known to do, God is the One Who gathers up the broken pieces, and in tender mercy and love, makes us whole, complete in His love, and brand new. With great kindness and compassion, He reaches down and rescues us from whatever low place we have found ourselves in; setting our feet upon the paths of life that He Himself has chosen.

He heals the hurts; calms the fears; and fills the lonely places with His presence; all the while understanding that we doing the very best that we can. We can receive His life and hope, every second of the day, for it is always at the ready; released in abundance from a well of grace that never runs dry. Then from a cup of compassion, overflowing with goodness and mercy, we can release the same comfort and hope, to others. His wrap-around love can pour forth to you, without limit or end, then spring forth through you, in the most extraordinary and life-giving ways.

Let His love and steadfast kindness overshadow you today, deeply loved one. He is a God Who makes things right, for you, for those you care about, and those you care for, too.

Prayer:

I thank You, Gracious God, for all the comfort You have given in the past, and all that You have made available, through Your redeeming love, each and every day.

You alone know the places that are weary and worn. The hopes fulfilled and the longings that remain. The pain and the pretending in the midst of overwhelming days.

Would you come today, Lord, with Your healing presence and restore all the broken pieces, making me whole—body, spirit, and soul?

I welcome You now, Lord, in the wonder of all that You are,  and I welcome the fullness of Your tender-hearted and transforming love, that heals, rescues, and restores.
