And David came to Baal-perazim, and he smote them there, and said, The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like the bursting out of great waters. So he called the name of that place Baal-perazim [Lord of breaking through]”. 2 Samuel 5:20 (AMPC)
Walls can be big and they can be high, obstacles of every kind meant to hold you back, or hem you in. Circumstances, situations, devastations can rise up, enemies all around and yet...here is the One Who comes for you in the midst of the swirling around messes. This is the Lord your God, Who lived for you so that you could be fully alive; died for you so that you could be gloriously free; and Who fights for you to walk in that freedom even now.
Look up, precious one, at those barriers—no matter how steep they may be, and see. Your Beloved is in the midst of you and He is mighty to save. Nothing is too difficult for Him or too hard. He is strong, able, a mighty warrior, victorious in battle, and He is Lord over all!
Receive the new life that is yours in Him. Allow Him to fight for you, to make a way, even where there seems to be no way. Look up, dear heart, and see—the walls are coming down, the limits are coming off, and the Lord of the breakthrough, your Champion God, is in your midst—breaking through for you!
Oh, Lord, what glorious good news this is, for I need a breakthrough today, and I need You!
Surround me as a Shield I pray, and let the light of Your glorious presence shine upon me. Holy God, I look to You, for You are a miracle-working God. You are the Lord of the Breakthrough.
Break through today, Lord, as I watch and I wait, resting as You have told me to do, in Your redeeming love. I know Poppa, that in Your mercy, and because of Your kindness, all things are possible. All things are lost are found; all things broken are healed; all things seemingly impossible, find their redemption in You.
Come as a rushing river Jesus. Wash away all that is not of You, and usher in the full measure of life and love, found in the heart of our Glorious God, the Lord over all. The Ancient of Days.
