Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God”. Hebrews 12:2 (AMPCC)
Sometimes we start things that we can’t finish. It may feel overwhelming. We think we can’t manage or we’re not quite sure how to continue on. However, Jesus always sees the way clear; He knows exactly where you are going and how to get you there! The Father has shown Him the way and He walked the perfect road Himself, all the way to the Cross. Because of that, He can lead and guide us into the fullness of God promises over our lives too!
Others voices may try to throw you off track, pull you this way or that—doubt, unbelief, or fear can be a part of those voices, and they are loud. Lean in though, dear heart. Stay close to Your Beloved and put your hand in His. He has you now and He has all things concerning you. He has placed your feet on the path of peace and will map out, and walk with you, on the road ahead.
Don’t worry precious one, He Who began this good work in you (and it is most gloriously good!) will finish everything He has started. A feast of favour and bliss will be yours, and oh, how perfect it will be!
