Have you ever been so painfully aware of your own shortcomings and mistakes, that when you look in the mirror you can’t find anything good in what, or who, you see? Have others come along and confirmed your deepest feelings and fears—that you don’t measure up; aren’t good enough; done too much; not done enough, and because of that, you can’t see a way for anything to ever change? Hang on, dear heart, if this is you. Hold tight to this life-preserver of truth as proclaimed in these Scriptures, and let that very same truth hold on to you. The moment you accept what Jesus has done for you, through His death on the Cross, and His resurrection to newness of life, you are made perfect, whole, and complete, too! 

Jesus took all that was sin scarred and broken, all that was old, weary, and worn, and gave you His very nature and character through the power of the Holy Spirit—a divine impartation from heaven above. You, chosen one, are made brand new! He made you righteous, perfect, and complete—He made you as He is—sinless and spotless with a wholeness now yours, that can never be taken away. A never-ending flow of mercy and grace is available to you each and every day!

Let Him fill up anything lacking with the very substance of Who He is. There is an endless supply of all that you need, and oh, so much more! As you begin to see yourself as Jesus has made you; as God the Father sees you; joy will replace any doubt or despair—for no matter how it may feel, the truth is, you are perfect in His sight. This has already been given to you, treasured one—a gift of love from the One Who is love, to the one loved deeply and true—that’s you!

Prayer:

Dearest Lord, I don’t think I have ever felt flawless in anyone’s eyes, let alone Yours! You are holy and righteous, pure and good. And in so many ways, I am aware of all that I am not.

Today, though, with great faith, and taking You at Your Word, I accept Jesus what You have done for me and I praise You that it could be so. I trade in all that is old, worn, weary, and outside of Your divine will and purpose, for all that is whole and complete in You.

Holy Spirit, let the life of heaven flow into my heart. Bring the joy and peace, the healing and wholeness, that can only come through a life lived in, and through, You. 

With great joy and thanksgiving, and for Your glory alone, I pray.
