For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother's womb. I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery]. Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them”. Psalm 139:13-16 (AMPC)

No matter how the years have unfolded, whether in perfection or in pain, His love for you is constant—deep, abiding, tender, and true. His love is nurturing, protecting, reviving, and completely focused on you.

He is Father to the fatherless, bringing healing and hope. He is Mother to those whose hearts are hurting, bringing comfort and tender-hearted care. You are His child, the object of His love and affection. He is attentive to your heart’s cry and to every area of need.

You were born in the heart of God. Who you are, and how you are, is the very substance of His thoughts toward you. He created you—knit you together in your mother’s womb and watched over that process in its entirety.

Beloved one, do not let anyone else define your worth or value, including you. After all, you belong to, were created by, and are dearly loved through and through by your God, Who is rich in mercy, forever faithful, always true.

He knows everything about you, and He is perfectly pleased and madly in love with the wonderfully made, beautiful, and cherished you!

Prayer: 

By faith today, Holy God, I receive Your words of life, for You are the Giver of Life. I receive Your love—a Father’s and a Mother’s love—for You are the Source of all Love.

I thank You that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and marvellous are the works of Your hands. Forgive me for all the ways I have judged or criticized myself, or let others do so, and I believed what they said. The only way I can see who I truly am is to look to You—Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of who I am, and Dreamer of good dreams of all I am meant to be!

Thank You, Father, for thinking of me then, before there was time, and for being intimately invested in, loving and caring for, moulding and shaping who I am today.

With a grateful heart, I praise You. You are perfect in all of Your ways!
