Perhaps you have come up against someone or something in your life that seems dead set against you. In situations where we have given our all, and done our best, we can come to understand that it may be their own brokenness and pain that drives them; but it hurts, nonetheless. 

What about Someone Who fights for you instead of fighting against you? Now there is a welcome change of pace! And not just anyone to come to your aid either, but the God-of-the-Angel-Armies Who is always by your side. 

What is it, dear one, that wants to overwhelm you today? Stand back from every circumstance that may present itself and step into His protective presence, where safety awaits, in His arms of everlasting love. Let Him take care of this, beloved. He is bigger than it all. He has this situation, with all of its twists and turns well in hand, and most assuredly, and most importantly, He has you!

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I thank You that on the days I don’t know what to do—You do! I thank You that in the midst of the trials and storm-tossed seas, You hold on to me, placing me safely in the security of the Father’s divine love and care.

If I don’t know what to say or how to respond to words that hurt, You shelter me, and You show me just what to do.

When I don’t know how to pray as I aught—especially in the midst of the confusion or pain—to pray for myself or to pray for others—You will pray with me and through me, in ways I simply cannot do.

I thank You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You are the strength of my life; my hope and my inspiration. You are my all in all. I place my life, and all things concerning me, firmly in the grip of Your amazing grace.

Come now I pray, in Your kindness and love, and do what only You can do. I am looking, longing, and waiting for You.
