God is not like people. He tells no lies. He is not like humans. He doesn't change his mind. When he says something, he does it. When he makes a promise, he keeps it”. Numbers 23:19 (God’s Word Translation) 

Most of us when we give our word or promise, want to be believed. It says something about our character, that we are people who do what we say we will do. Even as broken human beings, the longing is there to fulfill what we say, even though we are not always able to accomplish it. And if we can’t manage it, or someone does not believe we will try, it can hurt our hearts deeply.

God on the other hand, always keeps His word. If He says something, it is true. If He makes a promise—it is a sure guarantee it will come to pass. He wants you to trust Him, to trust in His nature and character. He has never lied once, and He never will. 

You can open your heart today, beauty, to your wonderful, promise-keeping, God. You can count on all the extraordinary promises He wants to make, and keep, specifically and intentionally for you! 

Prayer:

Jesus, I ask Your forgiveness for all the times I believed lies about You—that You were not there. That You did not care.

For all the times I believed lies about myself, based on my own insecurities and uncertainties, and what others have said or done. 

Forgive me in the same way, for the times I shared, or spoke things, that I knew were not true. 

Help me Holy Spirit, to walk in Your truth, to keep my word. To be more like You!

Whatever You say, Lord, about Who You are; who I am to You; and who others are as well, I believe. I know You would not lie, Lord. You never do.

I thank You for Your tender mercies in my life, and with all my heart, I trust in You.  You are forever faithful and true!
