Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You [for forgiveness] in a time when You [are near and] may be found; Surely when the great waters [of trial and distressing times] overflow they will not reach [the spirit in] him”. Psalm 32:6 (AMPC)
Sin, sorrow, and shame, are the very things that want to pull us down, and make us feel less than, and disqualified. Old wounds and lies bind us up like heavy weights around our souls. Yet into this darkness is the very place where Your Saviour Jesus shines! He breaks onto the scene with life-giving words and eternal promises to back them up. Your sins are forgiven; your debts are paid. Christ the Risen Lord has come, washed you clean in His rivers of unending grace, and lifted you up, to see afresh, to begin again.

In the very moment you ask for forgiveness, Jesus, Your Messiah, is there—blotting the sin and offence out entirely—removing its deadly effects and carrying them completely away. The sin account is now closed; the debts owed are now paid in full; and the magnitude of the transgression, He remembers no more.

Forgiveness is a powerful tool, an important key that will change your life, and set you free. Forgiveness given; forgiveness received—it changes everything, dear heart, you’ll see. Simply believe in what Jesus has done. It will mean the world to Him if you do. And in the assurance of His eternal promise, it will make things right in your world, too.

Prayer:

Jesus, I come to You today, with a grieved heart for all the times I have sinned against You and Your ways; against myself; and against others. I come boldly and confidently to Your Throne of Grace to ask for mercy, for You have promised that I could come at any time to receive forgiveness, and to obtain the help and the healing that I need.

Forgive me, Lord, for all my sins against You and against others, and though it can be hard to do, with Your divine help, I release forgiveness to all and any who may have hurt me or my family, too.

Let a river of redemption flow through all our lives today, I pray, for I know in all that is wrong, Lord, You will make it right.

For Your praise, Lord, and for Your glory alone.
