Often times, because of the challenging realities and circumstances that surround us, we can have a negative expectation of how things will go in our lives. We see it working out for others, but fear that kind of blessing is just not meant for us. If it appears too good to be true, we can be pretty sure it is! But what if the opposite is actually true and your life is meant to be overtaken with blessings—the kindnesses and the graces of God—in a way that changes how you feel about the present and settles your fears for the future?
 
You see, this is not dependent on you, what you can do, or what you have failed to do. It is completely dependent on God’s redeeming love, unending kindness, and steadfast devotion to you. He sees the future from the past, knows where you were, where you are, and if you will trust and allow Him, where you are going too. 
 
Don’t lose heart, dear heart, even now. Instead, be strengthened and encouraged in His love. The Lord God of all creation is on your side. Oh, wait and see, expectant one. His plans are perfect, His intentions pure, and the best is most certainly yet to be! 

Prayer:

I confess today Lord, how often I have a negative expectation of things going wrong, rather than looking to You, and anticipating with joy, how You will make everything turn out right.

Not because of me, Lord, I know, but because of Who You are and what You have promised to do.

I entwine my heart with Yours, Lord, and my life too. I turn everything over, with gratitude and thanksgiving, to You!
