God’s the one who rebuilds Jerusalem, who re-gathers Israel’s scattered exiles. He heals the heartbroken and bandages their wounds. He counts the stars and assigns each a name. Our Lord is great, with limitless strength; we’ll never comprehend what he knows and does. God puts the fallen on their feet again and pushes the wicked into the ditch”. Psalm 147:2-6 (MSG)
We may all have experienced cuts and bruises, scrapes and scratches, on this journey of life. Despite our best efforts and good intentions, it is a little hard not to. But there is a remedy for all the pain; a balm of healing for the sorrow; a source of strength when our weary heart wants to quit.

It is God, your God, Who renews, restores, and re-builds. He sets right what was wrong; heals what hurts; picks you up
, and then brushing off the weight of the world, puts things back in order again. He does this with miracles of mercy and kindness, never expecting more from you than you are able to do, or give. Quite the contrary, He wants to do it for you, if you will let Him.

Oh, cherished child, do not stay down where others have tried to put you, when the God of all Creation, the One Who loves you so, is right there, at the ready to pick you up and carry you into the place of the promise He has purposed for you.

Won’t you take His hand and trust in His limitless power and might? Your destiny in Him is assured, and, beloved one, He has you firmly in the grip of grace, with a strength that holds steady.  He will never let you go.

Prayer:

Dearest Father and Lord, I thank You for the beauty in Your restoration. How You take all that was broken and make it whole again.

Would you come even now
, Jesus, to the places where I have been broken, bruised, and brushed aside, and with Your limitless strength, wisdom, and compassionate understanding, put me on my feet again?

I need You, Lord, Your kindness and Your tender, unfailing, love. Come and set me free.

In Your Holy Name, Jesus, I pray.
