How exquisite your love, O God! How eager we are to run under your wings, to eat our fill at the banquet you spread as you fill our tankards with Eden spring water. You’re a fountain of cascading light, and you open our eyes to light”. Psalm 36:7–9 (MSG) Delivering, preserving, and protecting – God’s love gives instead of takes; lifts you up instead of tearing down; releases all that is good into your life while removing all that is not. Bringing security and strength, it perseveres through all things; believes the best; and grounds you in hope for the promises yet to come. You can hide in the love of your life-giving God and be safe, as it covers the pain of the past, and quiets any fear of what the future may hold.
You may have tried your whole life to be perfect so that others would love you, or so that you could love yourself. But dear one, here is perfection—found in the loving embrace of acceptance and grace. God sees you as perfect; His love makes you perfect; and you are perfectly loved. Let go of the memories and concerns of how others knew you or how you knew yourself. Even if you have fallen or failed, lied, cheated, stolen, or been too broken or bruised to feel you deserve any love, those things are behind you now. And all the worry and wasted days that goes with them too. As you come home to His loyal love, you will find the real you. Leave shame behind and the tag-along lies that say you don’t deserve a love like this, or are not worthy of such devotion and care. There is no such thing as having sinned too much, for all have sinned and fallen far short of the glory of God—no one greater—no one less. His forgiveness, freely given, has saved us all; the slate now wiped completely clean. Jesus took your place, leaving you as the joyful recipient of redemption, and His all consuming, amazing, grace!
