The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: 'I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness'”. Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV)
Sometimes people come into our lives who promise to love us, attempt to do their best, but they may be broken themselves, and just not able to do what they so hoped they could do. That is not a reflection on whether or not you are loveable, it is a reflection on their own brokenness, and what they are not able to do.
Yet treasured child, there is One Who loves you deeply, dearly, truly—Who always has and always will. The Lord loves you with an everlasting, unfailing, love and wants others to love you too—in all the life-giving ways that are meant to be.
For all the lack and the longings unfulfilled, Jesus will impart the gift of His healing love to you—transforming, renewing, delivering you from all the lies that have shaped you, and all the wounds of the past. Then from that place of freedom found only in Him, you can learn to love and accept yourself (He will show you how), and find yourself able, in greater measure, to give and receive love, to and from, others.
He has drawn you to Himself so that it could be so, in every area of your life. And remember dear heart; His love for you is everlasting. He holds you tenderly, in His strength and kindness, and cherished one, He will never let you go.
Thank You for drawing me to Yourself Lord, for even in that, I could not have done it on my own. I acknowledge that it was You Holy Spirit, leading me every step of the way—leading me home to the Father’s heart, through Jesus His Beloved Son, and leading me in the fullness of Christ’s love, all the days of my life.
In all the ways that love has let me down, faithful and true Lord, You have picked me up. Pick me up today, from any places that I should not be, and was never meant to be, and place me in the centre of Your divine will and purposes for my life. Apart from You I can do no good thing, but with You and in You, all things are possible, for You are my all in all!
Gracious and glorious God, I find my worth and my identity in You alone, safe in Your love, kept always in Your kindness and care. With gratitude and thanksgiving, I sing my praises, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, to You!
