The eternal God is your refuge and dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He drove the enemy before you and thrust them out, saying, Destroy”! Deuteronomy 33:27 (AMPC)

Have you ever wished that you could just disappear—hide out and not be found? Or looked for a way of escape from the days when it feels like everything is set against you and the warfare simply won’t let up? Maybe you have tried to find your way out of one mess and stepped right into another?

Some situations can be so difficult and draining, they leave us worn and weary from the battle. However, you can give up the fight if you want to, with all the pressure and pain, and give it over to the One who will fight the battle for you! You can run to God; He is on your side; His love is the shield that surrounds you.

He rescues you from all that you see and from the hidden things that you cannot see. He saves you from the snares of the enemy and leads you onto the path of peace. He goes ahead of you on that very path, keeping you safe and cared for, removed from harm’s way. 

Run to Him as fast as you can, treasured one. Tuck up safely in the shelter of His love. God’s everlasting arms are open wide. Trust Him, beauty—you mean the world to Him. He is big, and He is brave, and in every situation, He knows exactly what to do, and how to heal, restore, and deliver you!

Prayer: 

Come, Lord Jesus, even now, in all the hopes, and in all the hurts. Come and do what only You can do. You alone have defeated the enemy, Your enemy and mine, and You alone, hold the keys that will set me free.

In all that weighs me down, and wears me out, I come to You. Let Your redeeming love and steadfast kindness overshadow me, for I need You in every situation, in every way. 

You are my Radiant Hope, the God of all mercy and kindness. With a grateful heart, I look to, long for, watch, and wait for You!

Deliver me even now; hide and protect me as only You can do. In Your precious and Holy Name, King of all Kings, I pray.
