And the Lord will create over the whole site, over every dwelling place of Mount Zion and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be a canopy (a defense of divine love and protection)”.  Isaiah 4:5 (AMPC)

There may be days and times when you feel convinced, through your own internal dialogue, or perhaps the painful words of others, that you made a mistake, or are a mistake; that you will never belong or fit in; no one sees you, loves you, or cares for or about you.

Dearest one, turn away from the lies that want to rob you of the very life you were created to live. Leave behind the discouragement, sorrow, and shame attached to these thoughts, and hand the pain to Jesus, the One Whose truth will heal your hurts; Whose love will calm your fears. Turn away from the enemies of your soul—the lies, deceit, and destruction—and turn toward your Beloved Saviour—the One Who loves you with an everlasting, all-accepting, deeply understanding, bountiful, and abiding love. 

Let Jesus in, redeemed one, to those broken, worn-out, and weary places. Hide yourself under the canopy of God’s divine presence and let His truth and love fight for you. Whatever the enemy has done or wants to do, has already been overshadowed by love—a love that takes all that is old—old ways of being, doing, seeing, and feeling—and makes them fresh, clean, and new. All that was, all that is, renewed and restored for, perfectly, gloriously, loved, you!

Prayer: 

I receive this today, Precious Lord—this great canopy of Your abiding love, and declare that You are my defence against the enemy; my shield from the lies and the lack; the victorious One Who fights for me, in ways that I often cannot see.

In Your Presence is fullness of joy, Abba Father. In Your presence, and under the watchful care of Your abiding love, is where I long to be. Your glory is Your goodness Lord, Your goodness is to the glory of Your Name.

Loving You, abiding in You, and being loved by You, I will never be the same.
