“But God’s not finished. He’s waiting around to be gracious to you. He’s gathering strength to show mercy to you. God takes the time to do everything right—everything. Those who wait around for him are the lucky ones.” Isaiah 30:18 (MSG)
How many times in life have you had someone actually waiting around to be gracious to you? Or even to do something nice for you? In a world that can be filled with unkindness of every kind—from honked horns, to scowled looks, to pressures that would crush a steel bridge—getting through a day can take everything we’ve got. And yet here is God, Who loves you more than you could ever know, waiting, watching, loving and caring—looking for opportunities to make things new, and to make them work out for you!
He looks for ways for you to experience His love; to embrace the life that is in Him; to cause all circumstances to come together in the most heart healing ways. His desire is for you to anticipate the fresh days dawning, then, at the end of the day, with a heart of gratitude, be able to say, “Now that, was a good day! A day the Lord has made. Brimming over with His goodness and His grace!”
Dear heart, even in the midst of blaring horns and bitter words—wait! God is there with you in the centre of it all. If you look to Him, instead of the mayhem or the mess, you will see He is taking the time (even when you wish it could go faster) to do all things well for you. Causing everything turn out just right!
Remember beauty, however it looks today—God’s not finished yet. It gets better, way better, for the One Who is faithful and true, is working all things around for good, and bringing forth His highest and best, for dearly loved and deeply cherished you!
