God passed in front of him and called out, ‘God, God, a God of mercy and grace, endlessly patient—so much love, so deeply true—loyal in love for a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, rebellion, and sin”. Exodus 34:6 (MSG)
God is Truth and God is Light. His words illuminate the darkness, even the darkest places of our own hearts and lives. They may be hidden from others, and at times even from ourselves, but they are fully known to our loving God, just as we are fully known. Immense freedom comes then, as we find our place in the glory of His countenance, and live in the light of His sovereign and saving grace. We can trust what He tells us about Himself for He has never lied, in all of time and throughout history, and He never will.

His words and actions tell us that He is filled with kindness, grace, and mercy. He assures us that He is our Healer, Deliverer, and the Restorer of all things. He is holy and righteous; lovely in every way. Patient in His dealings with us; pure of heart and intent. He is Creator, Redeemer, and Friend.

Up close and personal, He is interested and invested in every aspect of your life. The only true and living God, He is your greatest gift and most valued Treasure. Everything in our lives becomes richer and sweeter, in ever-increasing measure, as His unfolding beauty is revealed, and we are lost and found in the safety of His healing love.

He will tell us the truth about who we are—fully loved, accepted in the Beloved, cherished, and adored. Someone He fights for, cherishes, and challenges to the believe for and pursue the “more”. More of His life in us. More living our life in Him. More freedom, more joy. More belonging. More peace.

Look for Him everywhere, dear heart—today and every day—for God, Who is gracious and good, will be loyal in love to you, in the most extravagant ways and for the entirety of your days!

Prayer:

Father, forgive me for all the times and ways I have, through my own pain, not seen, recognized, or been able to receive the beauty of Your love. Life has taught me at times that I am on my own, unlovely, and perhaps unloveable, but that is not what You say.

You say that before the foundations of the world, I belonged to You. I was in Your heart then, am now, and will always be.

Come with Your healing love today, Poppa, into all the ways and places I have believed the lies; looking only to the limits and the lack, instead of at the fullness of Your abiding love and amazing grace.

Come with the fullness of Who You are and all You desire to be to me. Though I do not fully understand, Lord, the wonders of Your great love, I say to all that You have promised, for me and for my family, in Your kindness and Your grace, let it be!
