This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you”. John 15:12 (AMPC)

God is love, and as He lavishes His love upon us, we are healed, saved, delivered, and set free! As we let the redeeming love of Christ, and His transforming power flow through us—not only does it change our lives—but it can change and impact the lives of others in just the same way. As we allow His love to overtake and heal us, and then to flow through us, we become a channel of blessing, a river of life, to the dry and parched lands around us. His new life flows in and the old is washed way!

Love is the fuel for all mankind and God is the source of that love. The well of God’s affection and care never runs dry.  It is deep, and wide, and full beyond measure. His abundant supply is always available to us—all we have to do is ask. We may say, “Jesus, give Me Your heart for this person, for this situation. Let me love others, including myself, in the same unconditional way that You do.” 

You don’t have to make or muster it up, beloved, for Jesus has more than enough to freely give. Simply love because He asked us to, and love, His love, in all its myriad of magnificent expressions, is always available, lavishly given, and available in unending measure for you, and for others, too!

Prayer:

Jesus, I come to You today as the Source of all love, to seek that sanctifying and saving love for myself, and for others.  I know I can’t do it on my own, Lord. I am totally dependent on You. 

Lavish Your love upon me today, Jesus, so that I may love as You love—myself and others. And so that I may truly, deeply, faithfully, love You! 

Generous God, rich in love and mercy, let it be so, I pray. Let true love spread across the globe for the glory of Your Name.
