“God, the one and only— I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not? He’s solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, an impregnable castle: I’m set for life.” Psalm 62:5-6 (MSG)
Have you ever hoped for something for so long? Something that didn’t come true? So, you stopped hoping, so that it would stop hurting? At least if you are not expecting anything good to come, you can’t be disappointed.
To hope is to risk; it takes both vulnerability and courage. And yet God, the one and only, completely capable and trustworthy God, carries your heart in His, and knows just what you long for, dream of, and hope for. Yes, cautiously at times, and perhaps courageously at others. He knows!
Placing your trust in Him and the plans He has for you is like putting gold bars in a bank vault. Precious things, dear to your heart, are safe with Him, because you are dear to Him. You can rest now, and breathe. Let your soul expand with endless possibilities—and wait!
Good things are on the way to you precious one. You are set now, for life, because hope in His unfailing promises, cannot disappear, or ever disappoint!
