May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope”. Romans 15:13
Vessels come in all shapes and sizes, large and small, short and tall, but generally they are alike on the inside in the sense that they are created to hold or contain something within. Our lives are a bit like that too, lovingly formed and fashioned by the hands of God, made in His image and likeness, a vessel of honour, fit for the Master’s use. There is room inside our hearts and souls to live lives rich and full, however we must choose what we want the vessel of our life to be filled with. Fear or faith; hope or despair; shame and regret or the overwhelming, unconditional, never-ending, limitless love of God.
Are you worn, weary, or weighted down today—feeling depleted and dry like desert sand in a parched land? Beloved one, this was never God’s plan for you. The weariness deep inside can be an awakening to the need to surrender your life afresh; to make room and give place to the kind of amazing grace that never runs out, and never lets go. That dryness can be transformed, along with your entire life, into a well-watered garden, spilling over with joy, peace, and hope.
Yes, the Master formed and fashioned you, in beauty and in grace, but not for you to be used up and tossed aside, left hollow, exhausted, and alone. Rather His desire is that your life explode with His goodness and grace, by the power and presence of His own Precious Holy Spirit dwelling richly in you!
From this very source of eternal life at the centre of who you are and all you do, you can be continually restored, refreshed, and renewed—abounding in good works—believing, anticipating, and living in joyful hope of all that God will do.
Offer up all that is emptiness within, dearest one, even now, and be filled afresh; bursting with super-abundance, uncontainable joy, and every glorious grace gift the Father has for you!
Holy Spirit, I offer my life up to You today, a vessel fashioned by the Masters hands, so that I could be fit for the Master’s use. Surround me continually with Your presence I pray.
Fill me to overflow with Your perfect peace and uncontainable joy, just as the Father, in His great kindness, has promised it could be so.
Let my life, this life You have given me, brim over with Your goodness, and explode with Your glory and grace! You are my fountain of hope, Lord, in every way, today and all the days through!
