And did you know that your cousin Elizabeth conceived a son, old as she is? Everyone called her barren, and here she is six months pregnant! Nothing, you see, is impossible with God.” And Mary said, Yes, I see it all now: I’m the Lord’s maid, ready to serve. Let it be with me just as you say. Then the angel left her”. Luke 1:38 (MSG) Don’t you just love the confidence here? “I, Paul, have been sent on special assignment”. No apologies, no wondering, no suggesting—just saying what is. Well, the same is true for you, dear heart. You have a special assignment from God as a part of His master plan and it makes sense doesn’t it? After all you are His masterpiece!
There is a place for you, a role you have that no one else in all the world can fill, and you have a unique position, custom made for you in this exact moment in history, in the unfolding revelation of “His Story”. Oh, the joy in the Father’s heart when you are walking in, and fulfilling, that assignment. All of heaven stands ready to help—they heard the good news that God has called you, and the richness of all that He has called you to, and they have waited for you all this time. Go ahead—step in! Pick up your confidence and courage and walk on ahead. You are anointed for this, sent by Christ Himself, with His very power at work in you. Masterpiece of the Most High God, joy of His heart—never fear! You’ve got this and He’s got you! Prayer: I am sure Lord, those words spoken by Mary must have been some of the sweetest words You have ever heard…that she was willing and ready to serve You and to do Your will. I want to say the same thing in my life Father, that like Mary, I could say yes to all that You ask, even when I cannot fully understand and see. My heart is willing, and I long to bless You, even though at times my hands are weak and I stand on shaky knees! Still, I trust You, Holy Spirit, to lead, guide, teach and empower me to serve You in all things. I desire always to walk in Your perfect will, and so I too say today, Lord, “Here I am. For whatever You desire—let it be unto me”.
