[The God of Glory] How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love”. Ephesians 1:3-5 (MSG)

We may all find ourselves in moments where we feel like the object of someone’s disappointment, rejection, or disapproval. Those experiences can wound deeply, especially when they come from people whose love or acceptance mattered greatly to us. But precious one, those moments do not define who you are, nor do they determine the beauty of your future.

The truth about you was established long before rejection ever tried to speak its lies.

Before the foundations of the world were laid, God set His love and affection upon you. Before fear, failure, comparison, or disappointment ever touched your life, He already knew you fully—and chose you completely. The One Who blesses with every good and perfect gift delights in you still.

You are not forgotten. You are not unwanted. You are not “less than.”

You are the object of heaven’s affection and the recipient of God’s tender-hearted care. Wrapped securely in Christ, covered in immeasurable grace, you are held in a love that cannot be shaken by human opinion or changing circumstances.

Beloved, God does not look upon you with disappointment. He looks upon you through the finished work of Jesus—with delight, mercy, compassion, and joy. In His love, you are made whole. In His presence, you are fully known and fully accepted.

What glorious freedom there is in this truth: you do not have to spend your life striving to earn what God has already freely given through love.

So lift your eyes today, dear heart. Let joy rise again where rejection once tried to settle. Allow the truth of God’s affection to quiet every lesser voice.

You are deeply loved, endlessly cherished, and beautifully held by the One Who will never turn away from you.

Prayer:

Wonderful Heavenly Father, Your Word says that I am wrapped up in Christ, and because of that I am whole, complete, and fully loved in Your sight. Thank You that through Jesus, every spiritual blessing of heaven has been poured out over my life as a gift of grace and love.

Though the world has sometimes taught me to feel unworthy or rejected, today I choose to believe what You say about me instead. Your Word is faithful and true, and Your love never fails.

Jesus, thank You for making a way for me to live fully accepted in the Father’s heart. Thank You that I no longer have to strive for belonging, because I already belong to You.

Let every wound of rejection be healed by Your love. Let every lie be silenced by Your truth. Teach me to see myself through heaven’s eyes and to rest securely in Your affection.

I celebrate Your goodness today, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and I rejoice in the wonder of being loved by You.
