Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favour and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvations)”. Ephesians 2:5 (AMP)
There is such freedom found in this incredible promise: when every past action or thought led to death—death to hopes, dreams, happiness, and peace—the very life of Christ floods in, restoring, reviving, and making all things new!
Our union with God, through Christ (He in us and we in Him) transforms the limits of the past into joy-filled possibilities for our future. This is the confidence and assurance we have in Christ, Who has already completely accomplished and obtained for us, what we could never earn or merit of our own accord.
Therefore, stay close to the heartbeat of God and abide there, tucked up safe. Even in the midst of struggles as they come, and they do come, Jesus is there. He stands as wisdom, strength, and peace. He is there to fight for you and help you remain strong in the overcoming victory that is yours already, because He is yours, and you belong to Him!
Immersed in mercy, covered in grace, let the same power of the overcoming, all consuming, and abundant life of Christ, come today, and completely, wondrously, overtake you in every way! Oh beloved, this is what He longs for you, every glorious and joy-filled day!
Precious Jesus, I come to You today and I thank You for Your great sacrifice for me. Your death on the Cross so that I may live. Your suffering for my shortcoming and sin, so that I may go free. How can this be Lord? How can this be?
I honour You today Lord, and I believe. Because of what You did. Because this is the will of the Father in Heaven, I accept all that You have done, and I receive.
I declare that I am one with You now; Your life in me; Your mercy my salvation song for all eternity.
All that is old has passed away. Today I am new in You.
