You see, to love God means that we keep His commands, and His commands don’t weigh us down”. 1 John 5:3 (VOICE)
What are those commandments He asks us to keep? As Jesus tells us in the Bible, He love letter to us, that we are to love Him with all of our hearts and to love those He loves, too! On a good day, that may not seem so hard, with all the right people to care for, but on a bad day, we may struggle, to love anything, or anyone at all! It can be difficult at times in receiving His love for ourselves, which is most important place to begin, but also in reflecting that love to others.

Even that, Jesus does not expect us to do without Him, or without His help. In fact, He has made it clear that without Him, we can do nothing—no good thing! We need Him every hour—to love us, to teach us to love ourselves, and to allow Him to love others through us, even if we don’t always feel that way on our own.

His love is greater than our limits for His love is limitless. No matter how we feel personally, we can love those He places in our lives, just because He loves them so. And we can love them with the love He gives us which is the best way of all!

Are you feeling a lack of life and love for God, for yourself, or for others? Just ask treasured one, for you will be asking for the very thing that is most on His heart to give! And this is a prayer He always answers, for true love comes straight from God, for God is love!

Beloved, you are loved by God, with a love that never stops giving. And this God Who loves you so, has an endless supply of all you need. You are His Emissary, His Ambassador to reflect His healing heart to those in your own world, and the world beyond. If you let Him do the loving through you, even to love yourself, it is as easy as can be!

Prayer:

Guardian God, my Father, and King, You alone are my help and my salvation, my healing and my hope. I know that there is no risk of failure in You, for You will lead me by Your Spirit into all truth.

As You teach me, instruct me, correct me, convict me, love me and heal me, I submit my life to You. Forgive me for when I go my own way, agreeing with what the enemy says to me about myself, and believing the lies he tells me about others.

Clothe me instead in Your grace and truth, seeing myself and those around me, just exactly as You do!

Show me the path of life, dear Jesus. The one You have planned from the beginning of time so that I may walk in Your ways, blessing Your heart, and finding unending joy in all of my days.

May Your shining glory be over all and my heart filled with perpetual praise!
