This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again”. John 3:16-18 (MSG)
Have you ever had those days, moments, or months, where the world, your world, just doesn’t seem right? Or parts of it maybe; but the rest, not so much? He understands, dear heart, more than you could know, but what if, in the midst of the messes and mix-ups, things didn’t have to stay that way?

What if what God says was true—that you can have a whole and lasting life, that you, and all things concerning you, didn’t have to be destroyed by past mistakes, by shame or regret—how it was done to you and however you are undone because of it—but rather it could all be restored? Everything put right again, just as it was meant to be, and the ashes of your past becomes the beauty of all that is yet to be!

This would not be something you would need to struggle or strive for, because Jesus, your Beloved Saviour, and God’s own Treasured Son, came specifically to do that for you—to bend down and pick up the broken pieces of your life and heart, and make them beautifully, wonderfully, marvellously new! Why? Because He loves you with a wildly beating, passionately pursuing, heart of love, And because He came to save, to help, and to rescue you!

Trust Him, precious one, and believe. Jesus, your Deliverer, the One in Whom your soul delights, came to seek and to find you; to recover all that was lost to you, and put things right, as only His redeeming love can do! Your very whole and lasting life, the one Jesus gave everything to give to you, is right here waiting—shiny clean and all brand new!

Prayer:

Loving Father, faithful and kind, how precious these words are to me, how I long for them to come true. I am use to accusation, Lord, the ones from others, and the ones I feel about myself, but unconditional, redeeming love, is so much harder to believe at times, yet I know that all You say is true.

I take You at Your word today, Abba Father, and welcome the grace, acceptance, redemption, and help that You have given me in the life of Your own dear Son. I welcome Your life in exchange for my life, Jesus, and I welcome You.  I embrace Your liberating truth, which is far more powerful than the lies I have believed.

Come into all the broken places—to all that is weary and worn out—and restore them, and me,  in the tender and loving way that You do.

I receive Your help today, Holy Spirit, and I receive You. Come and make all things new! Show me the new path I am to walk on—in my thoughts and in my actions—and empower me, strength me, to follow You.

Because of Your goodness and for Your glory alone, I pray.
