[A song for those journeying to worship.] “I look up at the vast size of the mountains— from where will my help come in times of trouble? The Eternal Creator of heaven and earth and these mountains will send the help I need. He holds you firmly in place; He will not let you fall. He who keeps you will never take His eyes off you and never drift off to sleep”. Psalm 121:1-4 (The Voice)

What comfort we find in the words of this Psalm, especially in the midst of any trials or temptations, or when feeling overwhelmed by all that life throws at us, or requires from us, and support is hard to find. 

For here we have a steadfast promise from God Himself, the One Who cannot lie, Who declares He will send the help you need in your time of need, in the exact way that you most need it. He will never turn His back on you or turn away, for He watches over you, to guard, protect, and keep you in His care, every moment of each day, and all through the night, too!

Call out even now, cherished child, to your Guardian-God, the Eternal One.  Then wait and see what He will do,  for the very substance of His help is on its way. Watch for it to manifest and show up in the most extraordinary ways. And remember, God is always by your side, and on your side.  He will never let you down or ever let you go. You matter far too much to Him for that to ever be so!

Prayer:

Lord, You hear my cries of distress, even before I utter a word. And in hearing, You come as my ever-present help in times of trouble, bringing Your strength and Your solutions, Your comfort and Your care.

You know the very things that hurt me and You are the healing that I need. You understand the hopes of my heart and You assure me that my future is secure in You.

Creator and Redeemer, You are my Guardian God; an anchor for my soul; forever steadfast and true; I put my trust in You.

Beloved and Eternal God, that’s You!
