And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favour, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!” Isaiah 30:18 (AMPC)

Here now, blessed of God, is this most Wonderful One—Loving Father, Faithful Friend, Healer, Redeemer, true to the end—longing and looking for ways to be good to you! 

He is your Strength and your Song. His love is set towards you; sweet grace released all day long. You can wait then, divinely loved one, with expectant hope, for God Himself longs to lavish His loving-kindness on you! Let His peace greet you in the morning and carry you through.

You are wrapped in favour; victory is assured. Child of the Most High God, how happy you should be! You are the envy of the world, for you are marvellously, extravagantly loved, and you are free!

Prayer:

Dearest Father, Your kindness overwhelms me, and Your grace and mercy, too! Sometimes I wonder, Lord—who I am that so many blessings, such love and tender care would come my way and then I remember—I belong to You!

On the days that I forget these truths—Who You are and Who I am to You—and on the days I forget all that You have promised to do—I ask You to hold me close and remind me of all You have spoken. I shall look up then, with great anticipation and expectation, as I watch and wait for You! 

Praise You Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for Your goodness is over all! I rest now under the shadow of Your wings.  Guard me, God, with Your unending and unfailing love. I put my trust in You!
