So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages]”. Isaiah 26:4 (AMPC)

A solid rock is a pretty secure surface to stand on. However, the Lord God of all creation, Who is everlasting and immoveable, is an even better place to anchor our hearts and our lives!

We may enjoy and appreciate the gift of many wonderful people in our lives bringing companionship, comfort, and care. And it’s good, sometimes very good; but as marvellous as it is, it is not as good as God!  He is far greater than it all!

He alone knows everything about you, including those things you may not be fully aware of yourself, or the things you wish nobody knew. He has seen the movie of your life and has not walked out midway through, for He is completely devoted, and madly in love with you! He knows the “you” that was in times gone past; the “you” that is just exactly as you are right now; and the “you” that is yet to be!

He cares for you unselfishly, with complete focus on what is His highest and best. He knows all that is in your heart, sensitive and mindful of the painful things that break it, and the joys that cause it to celebrate and  sing.  In all circumstances, your Guardian God, is right there with you, watching over, protecting, loving, and caring, deeply and passionately, for you.

A constant companion, His steadfastness never wavers. His devotion never ends. Oh, beloved, it’s true. Lean into this love and trust. It can be hard at times to do, especially when life has had a hand in breaking you, but even that He knows, and in all that is wrong, He can make it turn out right.  The Precious Holy Spirit, as your Comforter, Counsellor, and Friend, is there to help you, every step of the way—in what to do, in how to do it; in when to listen intently, when to speak, and what to say!

God will never leave you or forsake you, divinely loved one. Never hurt you; never break you. His devotion is eternal; He is here to stay!  He has set His affection upon you and those affections are rock solid, unshakeable, and forever true. The One Enthroned in heaven is 100% committed to you!

Prayer:

Precious Holy Spirit, these truths are too wonderful for me to comprehend but I know that You would never lie and so I receive them now and I place my trust in You. 

In all the places the world has broken me; choices I have made; and those made by others for or against me; I welcome You fully in my life now, to make it all brand new.

I can’t make it without You, Holy Spirit, and I am so very grateful that I never have to.
