“You are not forgotten, for you have been chosen and destined by Father God. The Holy Spirit has set you apart to be God’s holy ones, obedient followers of Jesus Christ who have been gloriously sprinkled with his blood. May God’s delightful grace and peace cascade over you many times over”! 1 Peter 1:2 (TPT)

There are many challenging situations in life, circumstances that rush in like a flood, washing over us unexpectedly, threatening the very foundations on which we stand. Waves of grief, sorrow, shame, or regret, all difficult to bear up under, or to walk through.

However, standing under the waterfall of His divine love, there is something far greater that washes over us, picking us up, instead of pulling us down, and that is God’s delightful grace and peace—cleansing, healing, making all things new. 

You can step out of the current conditions you find yourself in right now—physical, emotional, financial, relational, and position yourself instead under this font of blessings—His very life, whole and complete, pouring forth for, in and over, you. 

Chosen one, these circumstances do not get to define who you are, for your destiny in Christ is secure. Rejoice in this good news and remember that once a day, every day, and all day through—His grace is sufficient and His peace is your portion—available in unending, unlimited, supply for deeply loved, and tenderly held, you!

Prayer:

I come to you today, precious Jesus, with a grateful heart—thankful for Who You are, and all You have done for me already. I bring my life to you afresh—in all the ways that work, and in all the places that don’t—I invite You in.

You know the brokenness I cannot see and have made a way for healing to come. Knowing the hurts that I have so long endured; You lift the burdens and set me free.

Would You come now, Jesus, as my Saviour and Lord? Would you come into all the pain, the pretending, the search for perfection, and remind me instead of Who I am to You—chosen, cherished, cared for, and adored. Bring Your promises and Your protection; Your healing and Your help. 

I lean into You today, Jesus. I know I am safe here, tucked up securely in Your love,  and You will never let me go.

In Your Holy Name, and with great hope, I pray.
