What I’m trying to do here is get you to relax, not be so preoccupied with getting so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep yourself in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Don’t be afraid of missing out. You’re my dearest friends! The Father wants to give you the very kingdom itself”. Luke 12:29-32 (MSG)
We live in a world where the message is often one of “never enough”. Fear lurks and concerns come that we will never have enough—enough time, money, friendships, relationships, or love. Enough hope, help, provision, or peace.
We worry that we may never be enough either—smart enough, engaging enough, funny enough, seen, heard, or loved enough, and this can all lead to additional pressure and pain.
And yet this life-giving, extravagantly loving, generous, and merciful God Who loves you so, has provided for a “more than enough” kind of life already. In fact, above and beyond what you could ever ask for or imagine. No need to be anxious in any way, for you can’t miss out, or be left out. This is a far better reality, for it is a God reality, and it’s entirely true!
Dear heart, lovely one, your everyday concerns are taken care of, as are you!
Precious Jesus, how often our moments and our days can be consumed with concerns over what we can or cannot, should or should not do, instead of turning our hearts and our lives to You!
You are the wonderful One, fully able, always ready, to step in, to lift the burdens and the cares, and make everything right.
Would you come now Lord and bring Your miracles into the mess? We know You will never leave us, forsake us, forget or neglect us in any way.
Strengthen our hearts to believe Jesus, we put our lives, and our hope in You!
