Do not [earnestly] remember the former things; neither consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert”. Isaiah 43:18 (AMPC)
Deeply cherished child of the Most High God, in these sacred scriptures you will find a peace-filled place of hope—an unfailing promise at the start of a new year—a truth worth embracing in the glory of each new day to come. New day. New year. New beginnings now possible because of what your Beloved Jesus has done for you!
Were there former things in the year gone by, or even the days just past, that were harder than expected? Hearts are tender, and fragile at times, getting wounded and bruised, often easier than expected. When life leaves us feeling lonely, or lost in a wasteland of broken dreams, our tender hearts can shatter right along with those dreams, and the loneliness becomes all consuming.
Roads can be long and hard, with mountains to climb, and deserts to traverse, but you must know that you are never alone, at any time, or in any situation. God knows the pain as well as the promise contained in each step you take, and with a heart set towards you for good, He is with you every moment of the day.
Pack up all the broken pieces dear heart—all the previous pain, hurts, and hopes yet unrealized or expressed. Hear God’s words of comfort above, as you look ahead to see what He has planned. Watch as the wilderness blossoms in abundance, and healing comes. Hope restored and wholeness too!
Listen for the sound of the rushing water, for rivers of blessings are on their way. The dry ground will come alive and as His goodness overtakes you. Be encouraged precious one, and believe. This can be your best year yet. It will be like a dream come true, as God restores the fullness of His love to you, making all things new!
Precious and Loving Father, we thank You for this truth, that with You, nothing is impossible. Today we invite you afresh into our lives—Your presence, Your provision, and Your promises. Not only for this day, but for all the days to come.
With grateful hearts we give You thanks, as we know You will do what only You can do, and You will do all things well!
Go ahead of us Holy Spirit, we pray, into the year ahead. Keep us in Your perfect peace as we walk the path of promise You have prepared.
In Jesus Precious Name, we ask, and by faith in Him alone, we receive.
