“I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out [freely], and will find pasture. The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). John 10:9,10 (AMPC)
We all may have opened doors in our lives to things we wish we wouldn’t have. Doors that looked good on the outside—a job, a relationship, even a place to live, but once inside, it wasn’t quite what we thought it would be.
Yet here is an invitation to go through a Divine Door, which is Christ Jesus our Lord, with an absolute, guaranteed, irrevocable promise of His liberating life, waiting on the other side. Not just life to enjoy, but life that comes in abundance; fills your heart and home; and overflows in “better than you could have dreamed of” ways.
You can open the door to the enemy of your soul, and let him come in, through sin, fear, doubt, unbelief, and you know he brings no good thing with him. In fact, he comes with the sole purpose of destroying everything good, and God-given, in your life.
Far better in every way, to follow this greater truth, and to access life through the Gateway that is Jesus, straight into the arms of Your Father, the One Who loves you so—and truly, marvellously, joyfully, live!
Oh, precious one, the door to your freedom filled future is assured, right here waiting for you. Won’t you go through?
Dear Jesus, I ask Your forgiveness for any wrong doors I have open in my life, through wrong choices, words, or deeds.
I open the door of my heart afresh to You today and invite You to come in.
Clean up any messes I have made I pray. And in faith and anticipation, I receive the new life that You have made.
Let it be so Lord, even today, I pray.
