“And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good (suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely.” Genesis 1:31 (a)
Beautiful one, you were born in the heart of God.  Who you are, and how you are, is the very substance of His thoughts towards you!  Created with great care—knit together in your Mother’s womb—He watched over that process in its entirety, and He was well pleased with the results.

People may come along and offer their own thoughts on His work, some good, for they see the wonder of all that He has done, and they rejoice.  Others who may be blinded by their own pain and brokenness, can often attempt to put their brokenness on you, thereby hindering their own ability to see as He sees—to truly see who you are, and who you are meant to be!

No other opinion, high or low, can ever change the fact that you were fashioned in splendour and beauty, by the hands of a loving God, Who knew exactly what He was doing!  He rejoiced as He was creating you and celebrated His creation.  He did not just make you and let you go.  No!  He said, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.  No need to worry or be anxious in any way.  Find your comfort in My arms of unconditional love and care. I have the perfect plans for all that concerns you.  You are always and forever in My heart and secure in the strength of My strong embrace.”

Oh beloved, you are not alone.  Your Maker and Redeemer sees you completely and He loves you deeply, just as you are. You are His unique, “one of a kind” gift to the world.  A gift He delighted in giving for He was so very pleased with marvellously made and completely approved, you!

Prayer:

Father, I thank You that I was knit together in my Mother’s womb, just exactly as you desired me to be.  I was formed and fashioned according to Your good pleasure, destined to live the life You had for me.

For however I, or others, have judged what You have made, I ask Your forgiveness.  Help me to see the wonder and the beauty in Who I am in You, and to You, and the purpose You alone had for me.

I walk away Lord from all that is not of You, and run instead, towards the fullness of life that is found and fulfilled in You alone.  You gave me this gift Lord, the gift of life.  Help me to live it in a way that brings great joy to Your heart and great glory to Your Name!
