“We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us! But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.” 1 Cor. 13:12 (MSG)
Faith in God, and all that He has said, will steady our steps and steer the course we are on. Hope in Him, His nature, and His character, will make the yoke seem easy and the burdens light. And love—well, love endures forever, cradles and carries us, causing everything to turn out right.
Don’t worry if you don’t see clearly just now, for God, Who is Love, has gone ahead of you; planning and preparing for the best possible outcome. Remember beloved, you are intimately known by the One Who knows all things; highly valued and extravagantly loved. He has your best interests at heart.
This truth becomes your anchor in a storm cherished one; your radiant light bursting forth on a cloudy day. Here then, is the promised forecast for all your days to come—the storms will pass; the weather will clear; the sun will shine brightly once again. For love, God’s love, will never let you down, or ever let you go.
Dearest Lord, I pray today that Your love would flood in, in all the areas of need, in all the things that have gone wrong, and make them turn out right.
It seems impossible to me some days, but I place my trust in You, as difficult as that can be, because I know that nothing is impossible with You.
My hope is in You Lord. I know You will see me through.
In Jesus Name, I pray.
