“Then they called to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distress”. Psalm 107:13 (AMPC)
The words of this Psalm are so powerful and true!  We can call on the Lord in times of trouble and He is always there—but why wait for trouble to show up or stay, when we can call on Him every day!

In trials or temptations, without a doubt, He is the One you need most of all.  He will save you from whatever situation you find yourself in—including stress, sorrow, or shame.  You can count on Him without fail for He is always at the ready to work things out for your good, even in seemingly impossible ways.

Whether crushing cares or impossible to carry concerns—the same is true. He is the One Who calms your fears and dries your tears, and ministers His heart of love with the tenderest of care. He will scoop you up, and hold you close, lifting you above the pain, revealing promises fulfilled and potential unending.

And then you must know, that in your highest hopes and deepest dreams, He is the One you can call on to see it all come true. Apart from Him, cherished one, it cannot be so.  Remember, He does not expect us to figure it out on our own, or see the substance of all we so long for, come to pass, without His divine intervention, and supernatural strength.  “Just lean in” He says, “Let me do for you each day, what only I can do.”

Call on Him in the morning, as you lift up your requests with thanksgiving, welcoming new mercies, and heaven-sent daily bread. Let His sweet Name be on your lips all the day through.  And when you lay your head to rest, as day gives way to night, call on Him to hold you near, to heal, restore, refresh.  His saving power is fully available, every single moment of every grace-filled day!

Prayer:

Dearest Lord,

What a precious promise this is, that You are near, that You care, and that You are always there.

I call out to you today, in the midst of the distress, and in the middle of the mess, and I welcome Your presence and Your peace.

Take these pieces Lord I pray, those that I am holding so tight today; those You know I need to give away.  Make something beautiful, as You so beautifully do.  I put my trust in You.
