'They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.' God, your God, says so”. Amos 9:13-15 (MSG) Promises get made all of the time, some well-intentioned, some not, yet sadly, promises get broken all the time too. Many may come from good hearts, and an honest desire to bless, but without the actual ability to see it come to pass. Others promises are made to make someone else look, or feel good at the time, without a single thought of how that promise, broken one day, may affect you.
However, when the God of the Universe says something to you—it is for you and not against you—and it is said by One Who can actually make it all come true. He has never lied to you before, cherished one, and He never will. Is there an area of your life right now where a promise would be helpful to help carry you through—a place to live perhaps—daily bread provision or long-range plans? Turn your heart to Him now, dear one, knowing that He has already purposed to bless you—to fill your future with good things—and to make His unshakeable, unbreakable, promises to you, come true. Prayer: Father, when You speak Your life-nourishing words over my life—You never lie or mis-lead as others have done—but it is a promise You fully intend to see come true. Help me Holy Spirit to hear all the Father is saying and to partner with His promises too. Help me to tuck them up in my heart and watch over them with care and affection; believing and praying, until they come to pass. I know Lord, that You are watching over me, and watching over Your words in my life too. My God, the only true and living God, is forever faithful. Eternally true. I put my trust, and my hope, in You! In the precious Name of Jesus, I pray.
