Merry Christmas!

This is the song the angels sang on Christmas morn so long ago—the glorious good news that God had freely given the most precious gift the world has ever known, His only Son Jesus Christ, the full revelation of God’s unwavering love—never to be taken back or taken away. The fulfillment of God’s magnificent promises for us and for all mankind.

Sent from heaven with Jesus, contained in the fullness of all that He is, was the manifestation of God’s abounding provision of grace gifts—love, joy, peace, goodwill, the favour of God, and the fullness of all we would ever need, found in one so perfect, and so small.
 
In all the giving and receiving today, in all the joys and celebrations, even in the sadness that can come in keeping close in our hearts those who are far away, remember what God did for you, beloved one, on this most precious and holy day. For God so loved the world, so loved you, that He sent His only begotten Son, and for the joy set before Him—to reconcile us to the Father and bring heaven to earth—Jesus came!
 
Oh, dear heart, know with all that is within you, that Jesus came as a gift for you, and absolutely every wonderful thing about you, is a gift to Him, too! Rejoice and give thanks today, divinely loved one, for the King of Heaven, the Light of the World—the Holy One of Israel—is here! 

Prayer:

I praise You, Jesus for the gift of Your life in our midst. For how You came so long ago, to save us from sin, sickness, and even from ourselves, and how You are still saving us today. 

I receive You, Jesus, as the greatest gift ever given. I receive, with a grateful heart, Your presence, Your peace, and Your perfection. You are the substance of all we hope for; the answer to every need.

Glory to God in the Highest, just as the angels proclaimed. It is all so true! I offer my heart afresh, with deepest gratitude and thanksgiving, fully and completely, to You.
