It shall be said in that day, Behold our God upon Whom we have waited and hoped, that He might save us! This is the Lord, we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation”.

Most of us do not like waiting, especially for things we are not looking forward to, or even for longings we have held close and hoped for, that have yet to arrive. Acceptance, approval, recognition; favour, friendships, fellowship; love and belonging—just to name a few. 

However, your loving God, Who knows you as no one ever has, or ever will, is truly your salvation song; your healing and hope; and, joy of His heart, no more waiting required—He is already here! He sees you for who you are, and He loves what He sees. His approval is already granted. His acceptance, assured.

You have a place of belonging in Him that no one can give you, and no one can take away. When others do not see, understand, or know your heart, He knows what that feels like, for He has been misunderstood and misrepresented, just like you. 

Jesus, your Beloved Saviour and Glorious King, left His place of belonging in the bosom of the Father’s love to come and find you, so that where They are, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—in perfect fellowship, belonging, and love—you can be too.

The wait is over, dear heart, and the richness of the Kingdom of Heaven, has come near! Watch how His plans for you unfold in the most glorious ways. Rejoice and be glad, trust and believe. He has you secure in His love, and in the most life-giving and heart-healing ways, He knows exactly what to do!

Prayer: 

Jesus, You know what is in my heart, as no one ever has, or ever could. You know the longings and the loss, and the loneliness at times, too. All that I have walked through, You have been through with me, taking the pain and the burdens upon Yourself for me, in Your kindness and grace, as only You can do.

Would you come now, in the power of Your love, and bring Your healing and Your hope, Your salvation, and Your strength? Would You come in the miracles of Your mercy, as the One I truly need, and make everything new?

I long for You, Jesus, to be the centre of my life, for all my hope, my healing, and my help are found in You. Let Your steadfast kindness overshadow me today, for I trust and I wait. I lean into, and I long for, You.
