And the Lord will create over the whole site, over every dwelling place of Mount Zion and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be a canopy (a defense of divine love and protection)”. Isaiah 4:5 (AMPCC)

We may all have days and times where we wish we could hide away from the realities of our lives; the pain we bear within; the wounds inflicted by others; the weights the wear us down. Yet these burdens, crushing realities at times, really belong to Jesus, the One Who loves us passionately, and has promised to carry our troubles and our pain. And to carry us, too, as no one else can do. 

Tucking your life up under the canopy of His divine love, you can abide in His impenetrable protection—out of the reach of danger and harm. Resting here, in His presence, watching and waiting for His goodness to be revealed, as His angels, who have charge over you, are keeping you also, in their care. 

Every step you take, you can take in Him. You can dwell inside His heart and live your life within His perfect will. Remember, you are never alone nor will you ever be. You only have to ask for anything you need, and the precious Holy Spirit, your Faithful Companion and Dearest Friend, will light the path ahead, and lead the way to God’s best. 

Test and try our glorious King and see if it is not so. Pull into the port of God’s mercy and anchor your soul to His unlimited love. You can be safe in the center of His heart, walking in the perfection of His plans—every moment of each grace-filled day—and everywhere you go!

Prayer:

How wonderful, Lord, to think that You would place Your canopy of divine love over my life! What a glorious place to rest, to live, and to be!

Lord, if I move outside of Your covering, I pray You would bring me back within the folds of Your generous love. When I want to give up, I ask that You would lift me up, into Your strong and loving care. When I run away, feeling unworthy, let down, or lost, please find me, Lord, bringing Your miracle deliverance, just when I need it most.

I am so grateful, glorious Lord, that this is Who You are. I love Your ways and Your promise filled Word. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, most of all, I love You!
