God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He’s set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating”. Colossians 1:13,14 (MSG) Here is the life-giving, light bringing, best news we could possibly hope for! Especially in the midst of those dark dungeon days that feel as if they will never end—God, strong and mighty—has made a way of escape for you.
He wants to pick you up out of any pit you find yourself in, and place you firmly in the centre of His perfect will. This isn’t a short-term arrangement either. Once you take His hand He will never let go. Each step leads you to greater freedom, renewed hope, overcoming strength, redemption, and renewal. He knows exactly where you are now and how you got there. He knows the challenges and the celebrations, the pain, and the pretending, and He knows the greater freedom that is yet to come. Trust Him, cherished one. I promise you—you can never go wrong if you do. Prayer: Jesus, You know I have put my hope and my trust in many things along life’s way—some that ended in joy—many that ended in disappointment and pain. Only You truly know the pits I have been in, the ones I am in now. Only You know the pretending, the dashed hopes, and the sorrows and the shame. Yet, You are a God Who makes things come out right. Rich in love, tenderness and mercy, You save me from all that is not of You, and place me securely in the font of Your blessings, in the centre of Your will. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me Lord, and though I do not feel worthy, I know that is what Your pure, unconditional love, will do. I receive this today, Lord, as a gift of Your generous redemption. I receive Your healing love, and I fully receive and celebrate You. Just and Gentle Jesus, Gracious and Loving Father, Precious Holy Spirit, I place my trust, and my joyful expectation fully in You! All praise and glory is Yours alone, and bless You for the angels on assignment You send to help too! With deep love and gratitude, I pray.
