You have seen it; yes, You note trouble and grief (vexation) to requite it with Your hand. The unfortunate commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless”. Psalm 10:14 (AMPC)
A lot of us have grown up without the help or healthy input needed to feel loved and valued, to make right choices; to know how to treat or feel about ourselves and others. That can leave a lot of questioning, potential wrong choices, and huge gaps in our understanding.
However, the good news is, it is never too late to learn; never too late to receive a Father’s love or a Mother’s tender care. Never too late to leave behind the sorrow and the shame and begin anew. You see, God Himself is your Father, your Helper, Teacher, and Friend. He will comfort you in the messes and the memories; help you overcome the trouble and the pain.
He will lead and guide you through each unfolding day, revealing and releasing His plans of perfection, for all your tomorrows, with great understanding and compassion for all that you have been through. There is no One better to lean or rely on. No One more faithful and true. No One more devoted to lovingly care for you!
Father God, I come to You today, with all the gaps in my own life—of love and nurture and care—all that You desired for me to have—for all Your children to have—but it just wasn’t there.
Would you fill those gaps today I pray, with Your abiding love. Would You heal the wounds and calm the fears, and be my help today?
Hear the cry of my heart Lord, the hopes and the hurts. You are famous Lord for helping those in need. Let Your healing love come and Your heavenly plans prevail.
In Your Loving Name I pray.
