Oh Lord, it was You Who marched in front of your people, leading them through the wasteland.” Psalm 68:7 (TPT)
God has created you to be like a well-watered garden, a tree planted along His river of life, bearing fruit in all seasons, a source of praise to Him—glorious, radiant, beautiful and holy—and Jesus has made it so! That is exactly who you are and how God sees you—without fault or flaw.
However, sometimes who we are, and all we are, can end up in places we were never meant to be. That may come through the lies we believe; the choices we have made; the destructive actions of others; even sin and sorrow through the generations past. And certain places in that well-watered garden become a wasteland instead, devoid of the goodness of God, and the life we were meant to live.
Even then, dear heart, should that be the case today, never fear. You are not alone and not destined to remain in any area of your life that is not reflective of the life Jesus came to give you. Your glorious Lord is with you and He has come to lead—made holy and beautiful, radiant and glorious you—straight out of whatever wasteland you have found yourself in. He will take you through those patches in life where only thorns and thistles grow and guide you into the centre of the abundance He has for you.
Follow Him step by step: He is your Victorious One. Whatever is holding you back, hemming you in, limiting, or lying, He has already overcome! Shouts of joy and acclamation are at hand, precious one, for your Conquering King has come!
Today Jesus, into every area of my life that feels like a wasteland—spirit, soul, and body—situations and circumstances—I invite You in.
Lead me by Your Spirit into the fullness of life You have for me. Where I have wandered, lead me back. Where I have grown weary, direct me to Your paths of peace.
In You, glorious God, is fullness of life. In You the lost are found, the blind see, and the prisoners are set free.
In You dearest Lord, is where I want to be.
