Hurry with your answer, God! I’m nearly at the end of my rope. Don’t turn away; don’t ignore me! That would be certain death. If you wake me each morning with the sound of your loving voice, I’ll go to sleep each night trusting in you. Point out the road I must travel; I’m all ears, all eyes before you”. Psalm 143:7-8 (MSG)
Peace, rest, and trust. These are God’s gifts to you, waiting for you with each new morning, at the ready to tuck you in each night. Stress may be there, worry and anxiety too, trying to lead you down a path of despair—simply don’t go—no matter how hard those things pull.
Stop, dear one, and pour out your heart to God. Acknowledge what you are feeling and release it all into His strong hands—He is right there with you, waiting and wanting to lift the burden, and ease the pain. Sit down for a moment and breathe deep of His love. He knows you may try, or even need to take it all back a time or two, to look it over once again—then hand it right back into His capable hands, and let Him do what only He can do.
He understands the road you are on, and He will meet you there. Then point the way to better days, leading and guiding you by His blessed Spirit, every step of the way!
I thank You Lord that You are always near, that You know the need beyond what I even understand and You always know what to do. Father, I am holding tightly, maybe too tightly to things you are asking me to let go of—worry, fear, anxiety—cares and concerns. And not accepting and receiving enough of what You are wanting me to take—peace, joy, love, trust—and joyful anticipation of the good things You have planned.
By an act of my will today Lord, because You are a good and gracious God, I take all of these burdens and cares, and I give them all to You.
Come Holy Spirit of the Living God and show me what to do. Come Jesus, my Lord and Saviour—Your presence is my peace.
I am watching for You all day dearest Father, and I am listening and longing, for the sound of Your voice.
I declare in advance, over every area of care and concern, You do all things well! I thank You with all of my heart that it could be so!
