At the very moment I call out to you, you answered me! You strengthened me deep within my soul and breathed fresh courage into me”. Psalm 138:3 (TPT) Have you ever had those experiences where you are really needing or wanting something—maybe waiting for a text response, an anticipated delivery, a yes or a no to a question you have asked—and the answer never comes? Or at the very least, takes forever in the coming? Those times can be trying and stressful as we wait, wonder, and sometimes worry, but, beloved one, listen to this… at the very moment you call out to God, He answers you!
No time delay there, no wondering, worrying, or waiting…just God hearing and answering your prayers. King David was asking for strength and courage, for in the midst of the challenges of life his soul had grown weary. The battles are sometimes long and it takes all that is within us to make it through. But David knew he would never make it on his own, there was a greater One—His God, faithful and true—the source of all he needed. The One Who would always come through. He worshiped God for Who He was. He acknowledged that this was the very place His help came from, and then he asked for what He needed. In this case, courage and strength for his soul. In response to His cry, God strengthened Him and God Himself breathed fresh courage into Him. Dear heart, it is no different for you and I today. Our souls get weary in the battle; our bodies too. God knows. He remembers our frame and He understands the journey. However, He fully intended that what He did for David, He would do for you. Ask Him today, beloved, don’t ever hold back or be shy. He knows what you have need of before you ask, and as you ask, the very moment you ask, He is there. Expect, believe, and receive—just as David did, relying on God’s living words to him. Trusting in His unending love and constant care. He is, and will always, be there. Prayer: Today, Lord, I echo the words of David, I praise You as he praised You, for Who You are, for all You do, and I put my trust in You. I cry out to you from the deepest places of my heart—for the heaviness and the hurts and in the heart held hopes—I look to You. You keep every promise You ever made Lord, to David, and to all Who turn to You. Breathe upon me today Holy Spirit, in fresh, and restorative ways. I want to shine with Your glory. I want to walk in Your unending love and grace. For myself, and for my family, I look to You, and I pray.
